1808. Joachim Murat is King of Naples. So inspired by the flavours of the local Campania Wines, he declares their overwhelming power equal to that of his famous brother-in-law, Napoleon. Joachim Murat summons experts from France to the south of Italy, and entrusts them with the task of improving local wines to rival the French ones.
Among these experts is Louis Parrafieu. To honour that old alliance between our grapes and French expertise, we dedicated this wine to Louis Parrafieu and asked one of the most famous Maître de Chai of Champagne to assist in its preparation. Using only Asprinio grapes from Alberta Aversana and following the instruction of the French master, the result is our wonderful bubbly wine C.D.O.
